Individual Online Therapy for Adults
I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is a two way street. My clients bring their stories and vulnerability to our sessions and I create a safe space with generous humor and empathy where we can explore your thoughts and feelings. Together we’ll question the narrative you’ve been telling yourself, find new ways to navigate old patterns, and bring awareness to what changes align with your emotional needs. It is a process that is invigorating and creative and produces real and sustainable changes in my clients lives.
Everyone Starts Therapy for A Different Reason.
While everyone’s situation is unique it can also be helpful to know that you’re not alone. Here’s a snapshot of some of the issues I have helped my clients navigate in therapy.
- Creating Healthy Boundaries with Difficult Family Members
- Reparenting Oneself
- Healing Negative Body Image
- managing chronic illness and accepting adverse life events
- Helping Young Adults to Build Self Esteem
- Working with Mid-Career Individuals to Overcome Feelings of Stagnation amidst Capitalism
- Processing Grief and Caregiver Fatigue
- Helping New Parents Reconnect to Themselves
- treating mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse issues
- teaching artists to manage expectations around productivity and therapy for creatives
- exploring trauma and building awareness of triggers and coping skills
I provide this list of scenarios to give potential clients a sense of the issues I can help with but it is by no means exhaustive. The human experience is simply too vast and no individual can be summarized by a diagnosis! I encourage you to reach out to me directly to discuss your needs, symptoms, and prior experiences with mental health in a consultation call. I find that only then can we both get a feel of what it would be to work like together – because in therapy there’s nothing more important than finding the right person to share your story with.
Making Therapy More Affordable
As a social worker, providing access to care to a diverse population has been the cornerstone of my professional practice. In addition to this, my own experience as a creative freelancer left me routinely paying for care out of pocket and feeling underserved by the traditional health insurance system due to poor mental health coverage.
Having an online private practice allows me to price my sessions more competitively than if I was renting a traditional office space in New York City. Those are savings that I am able to share with my clients to ameliorate the cost of mental health treatment – because therapy should reduce stress not add to it.
